Welcome to the emulation zone. From this section you will be able to download emulators for the amiga and the zx spectrum computers. An emulator is simply a small software program that runs in a window on your desktop and mimics the whole functions of the original hardware.

 

 

This means you will be able to play games on the emulator and utilities that were once comercially available. However some games may not be abandonware (games which are now publicly free to download) if you hold the licence to any download available on this site then please email funkinsockmonkey and the relevant download will be deleted from the site immediately. The games featured on this site are to the best of our knowledge abandonware and are available throughout the internet for download.

 

 

The Amiga emulator requires a kickstart ROM which is not freely available. A kickstart rom is a file which holds all the processing data required to boot and run a specific machine type. For example Kickstart1.3 is required to emulate the Amiga 500/+ whilst kickstart3.1 is required to emulate the Amiga 1200. This site does not hold any kickstart roms required to run the amiga emulator. However they can be either purchased or downloaded throughout the internet. A few minutes of dedicated searching will prove fruitfull. There are many sites from which kickstart roms are available for purchase particularily german sites ending .de.
